About the project
Gloomhaven has a complex interface originally designed around mouse and keyboard input. My work focused on adapting those systems for Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
What I worked on
- Ported UI systems to eighth- and ninth-generation Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
- Adapted PC interactions to controller-based navigation.
- Fixed platform-specific issues across menus and game systems.
- Profiled and optimized performance for console hardware.
- Improved overall game stability through targeted bug fixing.
- Collaborated with different disciplines to preserve the original UX on console.
A large part of the work was making a feature-rich PC interface feel natural with a gamepad without compromising the information available to the player.
